Schedule Your PearsonVUE Exam
Apply for Your Indiana Broker's License
Once You're Licensed, Next Step is to Join SEIBR
The time required to complete the course varies among agents. Some finish in as little as 60 days, while others may take up to six months to pass the PSI Exam from the start of the course. We recommend progressing through the course and the entire process as quickly as possible. Since you will be tested on the material covered on the first day, it’s helpful to retain that information while it is still fresh in your mind.
After you pass your Pre-Licensing Final you will need to sit for your PearsonVUE Exam. The PearsonVUE Exam is composed of a variety of multiple-choice questions about real estate law and the ethics and professional responsibilities of the real estate industry. You must pass the Indiana Exam and the National Exam.
Your first step is to complete the Scholarship Application ($99) and that covers the cost of your pre-licensing program through Kaplan University. Next expense is your PearsonVUE Exam ($55), then your background check and Indiana License Application Fee.
To qualify for an Indiana real estate broker license, you must be at least 18 years old and hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Additionally, you must possess a clean legal record and pass a mandatory criminal background check to satisfy the Indiana Real Estate Commission’s character requirements.
You must score a 75% or higher on both sections of the exam. The test is administered by PearsonVUE and consists of 130 multiple-choice questions split into an 80-question national portion and a 50-question Indiana law portion.
A real estate license alone does not legally allow you to buy or sell property in Indiana—you must affiliate with a sponsoring managing broker. KW Realty Services provides newly licensed brokers with world-class training, one-on-one mentorship, and cutting-edge technology. We don’t just help you clear the IREC hurdles; we provide the exact framework you need to build a highly profitable, sustainable real estate business from day one.
KWRS has a monthly fee of $95 and an annual KWRI fee of $25. Your E&O will be an annual fee of around $350 starting in March each year.
